This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you visit solsticekitchenandbath.com (the “Site”), contact us, chat or text with us, or work with us on a project, and how we use, share and protect that information. By using the Site or contacting us, you agree to this Privacy Policy and our Terms & Conditions.
Information We Collect
Information You Give Us
When you fill out a form, chat with us, call, text, email or visit our showroom, you may give us:
- your name, email address, phone number and mailing or project address;
- details about your project, such as the rooms involved, your goals, timing, budget range, photos, measurements and design preferences;
- how you heard about us and how you prefer to be contacted;
- anything else you choose to share with us, such as reviews, feedback or messages.
If you become a client, we also keep the information we need to design, contract, schedule, build and warranty your project, such as your contract, selections, change orders, invoices, payment records and project photos.
Information Collected Automatically
When you use the Site, we and our service providers automatically collect certain information through cookies, pixels and similar technologies. This includes your IP address, browser and device type, approximate location (such as your city or region), the pages you view, the links you click, the website or ad that brought you to the Site, and the date and time of your visit.
Information from Other Sources
We may receive information about you from people who refer you to us, from review and home-improvement platforms (such as Google and Houzz), from our advertising partners and, only if you choose to apply for financing, from financing providers. We may combine it with the information we already have about you.
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- respond to your questions and requests, and schedule consultations, measurements and showroom visits;
- prepare designs, proposals and estimates, and perform, manage and warranty your project;
- communicate with you by phone, email, text message or chat about your inquiry or project;
- send you occasional updates, offers or requests to review our work, where the law allows (you can opt out at any time);
- understand how visitors use the Site and improve our website, services and advertising;
- measure how well our advertising works and show relevant ads, as described under “Cookies, Analytics and Advertising”;
- protect against fraud, spam and misuse, and keep the Site secure;
- meet our legal, licensing, tax and accounting obligations, and enforce our agreements.
Text Messages
If you give us your mobile number and agree to receive text messages, we may text you about your inquiry, appointments and project. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. Agreeing to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase.
We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except the service providers that deliver our messages for us.
How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it only as described below.
- Service providers. Companies that help us run our business, such as website hosting, form and chat tools, customer relationship management and project-management software, email and text messaging providers, scheduling, payment processing, analytics and advertising services. They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
- Project partners. Designers, suppliers, manufacturers, installers, inspectors and subcontractors who need certain details, such as your name, address and selections, to complete or warranty your project.
- Financing providers. If you choose to apply for financing, you apply directly with a third-party financing provider, such as Acorn Finance. We may share basic project details with them at your request. Their privacy policy governs the information you give them.
- Advertising and analytics partners. As described under “Cookies, Analytics and Advertising” below.
- Legal and safety reasons. When the law, a subpoena or a court order requires it, or to protect the rights, property or safety of Solstice, our clients or others.
- Business transfers. As part of a merger, sale or transfer of all or part of our business.
- With your consent. For any other purpose you approve, such as featuring your project or your review.
Cookies, Analytics and Advertising
We use cookies, pixels and similar technologies to make the Site work, to understand how it is used, and to measure and improve our advertising.
- Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the Site. Google explains how it uses this information on its partner sites page. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
- Advertising and remarketing. Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies to show our ads on other websites based on your visits to the Site, and to measure how our ads perform. If we advertise on other platforms, such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), those platforms may do the same. You can opt out of Google’s personalized ads in Google’s Ads Settings, manage Meta ads in your Facebook ad preferences, and opt out of many other vendors’ personalized advertising at aboutads.info/choices.
- Ad measurement. When you submit a form or request a consultation, we may share your email address and phone number with advertising partners such as Google in hashed form, meaning they are converted into an unreadable code before they are sent. Our partners use it to tell us which ads led to your request, and to help us show relevant ads or avoid showing ads to existing clients. To ask us not to include your information, email us.
- Spam protection and maps. Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA to block spam, and some pages include Google Maps. Your use of reCAPTCHA and Google Maps is subject to Google’s Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
Most browsers let you block or delete cookies in their settings. If you do, some parts of the Site may not work as intended. The Site does not currently respond to “Do Not Track” browser signals.
Some state privacy laws treat the use of advertising cookies and pixels as a “sale” of personal information or as “targeted advertising.” To opt out of this use of your information, use the tools above or contact us as described below.
Your Choices and Rights
- Marketing emails: click “unsubscribe” in any marketing email we send.
- Text messages: reply STOP to any text message.
- Cookies and ads: use your browser settings and the opt-out tools listed above.
Depending on where you live, including under Maryland law, you may have the right to ask whether we process your personal information; to access, correct or delete it; to receive a copy of it; and to opt out of targeted advertising, the sale of your personal information and certain profiling. To make a request, email info@solsticekitchenandbath.com or call (410) 451-3456.
We will verify your request and respond within the time the law requires, generally 45 days. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. If we decline your request, you may appeal by replying to our decision, and we will tell you the outcome of your appeal. We may keep certain information when the law requires or allows it, for example to honor a contract or warranty or to keep records our home improvement license requires.
How Long We Keep Information
We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including to complete and warranty projects and to meet our legal, licensing, tax and accounting obligations. When we no longer need it, we delete it or make it anonymous.
How We Protect Information
We use reasonable administrative, technical and physical safeguards to protect personal information. No website, internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. Please do not send sensitive information, such as bank account or Social Security numbers, through our website forms or chat.
Children’s Privacy
The Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13, and we do not sell, or use for targeted advertising, the personal information of anyone we know to be under 18. If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Links to Other Websites
The Site links to websites and services we do not control, such as social media, review sites, Houzz and financing providers. Their own privacy policies govern their practices.
