This bathroom started as an outdated room covered in wallpaper, with an unused vanity desk, a crooked tub deck, and a style that was overdue for a refresh. Our team worked with the homeowner to fix the functional issues and create a completely new style that gives the space an effortless spa vibe. The materials and colors chosen for the design, as well as the large window over the tub, immediately make the room feel grounded in nature.

We started by removing all the wallpaper in the bathroom. We also eliminated the unused vanity desk from the layout, which allowed us to install a vanity that significantly improves storage and functionality. The new vanity brings natural warmth to the space with a sophisticated flat panel cabinet style in Rift White Oak with a Sienna finish. The vanity space is accented by black and gold hardware from Jeffrey Alexander for a touch of modern sophistication.

Bringing the Outdoors Inside

We finished off the vanity area with an Olympus Adonis Quartz countertop, accented by Delta Lahara 8” widespread faucets in champagne bronze. Above the vanity top are two Kohler Essential mirrors with thin gold frames that replaced a single large mirror, along with three sconce light fixtures that elevate the room’s style and provide perfect illumination around the mirrors. Toekick lights under the vanity offer a soft light source that enhances the space and provides ideal lighting for nighttime.

Our team used the same 12 x 24 Haven White Matte tile on the floor, tub deck, and tub splash to give the bathroom a seamless, open feeling. A shallow shower pan is an ideal choice for both style and accessibility, making this an ideal bathroom designed for aging in place. Installing 4 x 16 tiles in Limelight Green on the shower walls connects the room to the trees visible through the large window, further linking this bathroom design to nature. Painting the room in Sherwin Williams Drift of Mist was the perfect finishing touch for this sophisticated and timeless bathroom design in Crofton.
