Kitchen Remodel Before and After

Long kitchen with brown cabinets, a range at the far end and built-in ovens on the right

Green beverage station with glass-front cabinets, a small sink and coffee equipment.

In this Gambrills, MD home, we worked with our client to transform a very small galley style kitchen into an entertainer’s kitchen design. The homeowner closely collaborated with our team every step of the way to create their dream kitchen design with a fresh, vibrant color scheme, beautiful materials, a functional and sociable layout, and ample storage solutions. The island offers space for two barstools, perfect for a coffee with a friend.

A two-tone custom inset cabinet design in cream (perimeter) and green (island and coffee bar) creates a striking style for this kitchen, paired with polished nickel hardware. The perimeter and custom coffee bar feature Brown Fantasy quartzite countertops, while the island includes a butcher block countertop. Hand crafted floating shelves made from exotic lumber by a Solstice Kitchen and Bath craftsman complement the coffee bar and a corner niche.

Kitchen Design to Entertain

This kitchen design is packed with storage to create an organized, efficient, and stylish space. Open shelves offer the ideal place to display decorative dishware and accessories. The coffee bar incorporates glass front upper cabinets, perfect for storing glasses. The main cabinet layout has pull out storage, trash and recycling pull outs, and an appliance garage for stowing the heavy stand mixer. The combination of storage features means everything is easy to find and clean up is a breeze.

Thank you! Working with all of you was a pleasure. From the idea/design stage of our kitchen/powder room through final completion, we were pleased with everyone's attitudes. It was wonderful having someone to ask questions during each step of the design, the selections, and the actual work. We are thrilled with the final project, and I'm sure we'll enjoy it for years to come.

We worked with Solstice on a complete bathroom renovation and remodel including converting from a tub to shower. The Solstice staff is knowledgeable in their field and attentive to details. The finished product exceeds our expectations, and we are completely satisfied with our new bathroom. We highly recommend Solstice and will call them for any future projects.

Undertaking a large kitchen remodel can be a stressful experience. The Solstice team made the process painless. It was a pleasure to work with them from design through execution. The project was finished according to schedule and pricing was transparent with no surprises. I would recommend them without hesitation.

Great job! Our once dreary, "80's" bathroom now looks like something you'd find in a million-dollar mansion!! Thank you Solstice.

The team at Solstice is professional and their work is top notch. They met every deadline and will do what it takes to make the client satisfied. First rate operation.

Kitchen renovation. Possibly our best experience with a contractor. Patient and easy to work with designing our kitchen. On budget, ahead of schedule. Worked closely with us resolving details and resolving all punch list items. Talented crew. “Plays well” with other contractors involved in our project. Will use them again for other renovations we are planning.
