Kitchen Design Before and After
This project is a true example of what’s possible when a designer and homeowners work collaboratively. The original kitchen featured an awkward walk-in pantry and a garage-to-laundry entry that disrupted flow. Our designer re-envisioned the layout by eliminating both, transforming the space into an open, highly functional design that better supports the homeowners’ daily routines. The result is increased usable storage, a more efficient laundry area with the machines hidden by easily accessible double doors, and a welcoming garage entry with a purposeful landing zone.
The thoughtfully reimagined kitchen showcases classic Shaker-style cabinetry by Koch Cabinetry in the Savannah door style, which fit the homeowners goal to create a timeless design. The perimeter cabinets are finished in a soft Ivory, while the island features a warm pecan-finished maple, complemented by glass-front display cabinets and a dedicated coffee bar with custom open shelving. The combination creates a timeless style in a warm and bright kitchen.
Shaker Ivory and Pecan Cabinetry
A full-height quartz backsplash in MSI Q™ Calacatta Miraggio Cove creates a seamless, elegant backdrop that visually expands the space while tying the surfaces together. Hardware selections include Top Knobs Ulster pulls and Coddington knobs in Brushed Satin Nickel, adding a refined, timeless finishing touch.
To preserve continuity with the rest of the home, our construction team collaborated closely with the homeowners to source a new floor that closely matched the existing flooring. Our expert installers seamlessly integrated the new material into the original floors—saving money, reducing waste, and maintaining a cohesive look throughout.
A custom cabinetry hood anchors the room visually, but its impact goes beyond aesthetics. The redesigned layout allowed our team to properly vent the range hood—an upgrade that has already made a noticeable difference for the homeowners’ enthusiastic use of their large range. It is the perfect kitchen for an avid home chef!
